Our directors are solicitors of England and Wales.  We are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).  Our Directors are Tony N Guise and Sabina Rinker.

Insurance mediation

GUISE is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) via the Solicitors Regulation Authority in respect of the undertaking of insurance mediation activity and our details may be found in the Exempt Professional Firm (EPF) register.  If you have any problem with any insurance mediation activity which we have provided then please let us know. 

 If we are unable to resolve the problem between us, then the FSA provide a complaints and redress scheme through the Financial Ombudsman Service.  Your complaint should be addressed to the Solicitors Regulation Authority in the first instance.  Their contact details may be found at www.sra.org.uk.

Investment advice

GUISE is not authorised by the Financial Services Authority of England and Wales or under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 for investment advice. However we are able in certain circumstances to offer a limited range of investment services to clients because we are regulated by the Law Society of England and Wales, which has a complaints and redress procedure. We can only provide investment services if they are an incidental part of the professional services we have been engaged to provide.

GUISE acts as a legal adviser. We do not give advice on the merits of investment transactions and no communication by us should be treated as an invitation or inducement to engage in investment activity.

Professional Indemnity Insurance

Our primary layer of cover is provided by AIG (Europe) Limited (AIG) under policy number IL09AAKJ.  AIG may be contacted via HSBC Insurance Brokers Limited, Professional Indemnity Practice, Bishops Court, 29 Artillery Lane, London E1 7LP. Tel: 020 7991 8888.  In total our coverage limit is £5,000,000.
